Need Something.

We live in what I would call a normal neighborhood, and our house sits on the average lot.   We have power   and phone lines coming from poles that are in the alley that is behind the house.

We have a nice sized back yard, and out front, our house sits back from the street.   We were in another neighborhood earlier today , and I commented to digital Karen about how close to the street the houses were.   Being back a ways is I think nice.

One thing that might help is a way to store things,   and I came across on the Internet… Stainless steel barrels.   As I looked, the first thing that came to mind was they would not take up much space and could easily be hidden from view.  As long as they don’t go rolling down the street I don’t think anyone would mind them being in our yard.

I want a Bike.

Karen and I have been talking lately of spending more time outdoors.   We know that in a few months here in Arizona that will not be too comfortable, due to the temperatures over 100 degrees. But, there are enough months available that it’s would still be nice for me to have a bike to keep up with her in her wheelchair.

Now to make it even more usable it would be wise to look at hitch bike racks so that should we want to get out of the Metro Phoenix area, I could just attach my bike to our van.  Karen’s wheelchair already fits inside our van, so we could go off together and enjoy the scenic trails. I know she would love that!

Open one’s Horizon.

I joined the computer generation late.   When it first came along, I have to admit that I didn’t think that it would catch on.   Boy was I wrong.

I worked for a company, which will remain nameless that bought a computer and even me who thought computers and the Internet would be just a passing fad, told them they had to buy a printer.   They didn’t.   Within a week, they realized that I was right.   But for what ever reason they never bought a printer.   At least while I was there.

With that in mind, if you’re reading this, you should go to gateway desktops and find a quick way to join the today’s generation.  I’m glad I did!

Clean as a whistle.

Karen likes to have our house clean as a whistle.   Now our vacuum cleaner is a couple of years old, so lately we have been looking at Miele vacuum cleaners, because she feels it’s time to replace the one we have.

I like new stuff as much as the next guy, and from what I have seen there are a lot of   features that would sure make my job as the “house cleaner” much easier.  I hope it comes with a whistle.

Back Again.

This is the third time today that I have been typing away on The View from My Chair while Karen is off doing something else.   Please don’t think that she doesn’t care about the blog, but with her being in the hospital twice in the past three weeks for surgery, she is a little tired.

While at the hospital in the waiting rooms, I could not help but wonder if some of the people there were waiting for the best herpes treatment.

I guess I was having a Pima County Sheriff Dupnik moment… not using facts to come up with a thought.

Anniversary is Coming

Hi, it’s me, Mr. Karen…or to his friends just plain old Norm, punching away at the keyboard of my computer while Karen is doing something else.   I have to admit that I like writing her blogs for her.   Gives me a large audience.

Now I’m not going to say, click here , in order for you to see what I am blogging about.     You can, mind you, do so and it will take you somewhere, but I’m going to let you see pictures of me as a DANCER.

I have been uploading to my computer pictures that were taken by my Dad back in the late 1950s.   This picture was taken at a Square Dance at the Ride-N-Rock Ranch in Scottsdale.   My parents would spend several weeks there each year back then.   I would later attend Orme Ranch School that was between Scottsdale and Flagstaff.

Well here I am dancing away.

Had I not found the picture in over 500 35 mm slides that my brother found and brought over here, I would not remember dancing the night away.

In the morning I needed rest.

Our anniversary is coming up. I loved to dance the night away with Karen.
