Friday Afternoon Adventure

So it’s a hot Friday afternoon in Scottsdale. Norm and I go out for a quick bite to eat and then we head to Walmart. We had to get a prescription filled for Norm, so while we waited we went shopping. We picked up a few household goods and some grocery items and then we wandered the aisles looking at all the stuff one can find at Walmart. Some people think that you can find just about anything at Walmart, but from my experience that’s not always true. For instance you cannot find affordable life insurance at Walmart, nor can you find polenta. Now if I wanted life insurance I would probably consider going online or finding a local agent. But when you can’t find polenta at the Walmart superstore, it’s a really sad day. That means I have to go to another grocery store! Come on Walmart, can’t you people get your act together?

Back from the Brink

Oh it’s good to be back to my digital life. This past month my computer died and my blog was hacked with malware. You may not have noticed the malware, but it made it difficult to log into my blog and write a post. And not having a computer made blogging and fixing my website all that more difficult. Fortunately, I was able to get a new computer. After much research and contemplation, I was able to successfully remove the malware. Basically I had to remove my entire WordPress installation and install a fresh copy of WordPress. Then I reloaded all of my theme files and tightened my hosting and blog security.

Hopefully things will remain copacetic!

I get the Hard Jobs.

Here I am again, filling in for Karen with a “Really Hard Job.”

Karen likes me to write about such things as Shari’s Berries Promos.

When we go out shopping even to the grocery store here in Scottsdale it is I who can not walk by the isle that has candy in it and not buy a thing.   Karen on the other hand makes stop after stop in her wheelchair and has been know to sit there for up to 10 full minutes before she can force herself to move away without asking me to load some into our basket.

It’s called self CONTROL.

RV Bug.

Several of our friends have RVs and I have gone over to their houses and seen the RVs on the inside and out, and I have to tell you, I’m impressed.

I thought it was interesting that both of them mentioned the same place for rv repairs.   That sure tells you something.

None of the RVs I toured   were equipped to accept a wheelchair but, that I don’t think is a problem it would be very simple to have a ramp or lift added to an RV.   I learned that while in the wheelchair van rental business.

Another pound.

Had another Doctor’s visit this week and the kid is down another pound.   Seems in the past couple of years I go down each time I step on the scale at the Doctor’s office.

Maybe I should look into creatine supplements and build up my strength while I’m losing weight.   The two go hand in hand.   One doesn’t just want to drop pounds and not be able to function.

Like what Karen Wears.

Karen and I have been married for 12 years as of last January, and I have to be honest I like what she wears.  I’m not sure how you would classify it. For all I know it could be hip hop clothing. No matter, whatever it is, if she’s wearing it I love it. It’s just that simple. Maybe it’s because I just love her.
