Say What?

A while back I shared that while I was in the hospital I had my belly pierced, that is to say, I had a feeding tube installed directly to my stomach. I use it to supplement my regular eating. A friend asked me the other day if I was going to go on a Tubing Bender over the holidays. What? We laughed a lot over it when she explained that it would be a great way for me to drink alcohol since I don’t like the taste of it. I think I’ll pass on that suggestion since I wouldn’t want the aftereffects of an alcoholic bender either.

Too Funny Not to Share

I’ve been talking for months to Norm about getting a Nook, but we’ve always been short of funds, so it just gets put on the back burner.  Earlier today Norm was helping me with something and he said, “where are we going to get your nookie?”  I wasn’t quite sure what to say as it dawned on me what he actually said, even though I knew what he really meant.  Before I could think of something funny, it dawned on him how it sounded and he began to giggle.  I started giggling and it was a few minutes before either one of us could talk.

Overheard

I have always had really good hearing and so I often hear conversations of people around me even if I don’t want to.   I was at the mall one day and I could hear the conversations of people as they passed me by.     heard someone say to their friend buy phenphedrine.   They were walking quickly and so I could not hear the rest of the conversation.   I kept wondering if they talking about a great stock to buy or some new Asian cuisine.   When I got home I googled it and of course I discovered that it’s a diet pill.   I wonder where they come up with these names?
