Please, Get him out of the House

It’s been a few years since my husband Norm retired.     Would someone please let him in on the best franchise opportunities out there so that I can get him out of the house.

There’s no question that he’s a nice guy and we have fun together, but I sure would like to have some time to myself so that I can work on my top secret projects.

Norm just loves to look on the Internet at amateur radios or video cameras and come running down the hall and tell me all about them.   I mean every little detail and sometimes he even brings pictures.

Please, get him out of the house!   {grin}

The Joys of Growing Older

Did you like high school? I didn’t and I didn’t like being an adolescent either. I wanted to grow up fast and become an adult. Somehow I thought that I would get over all my problems when I grew up. I was wrong. Many of the problems I had as a teenager have changed into other kinds of problems. Take for instance adult acne and bad hair days. Who knew they would accompany me into adulthood? Now of course there are wrinkles to deal with. One thing I have now though, that I didn’t have when I was an adolescent, is it a good sense of humor. This video says it all. Enjoy.

The Big Question

It’s that time of year again, time for another birthday.   And then of course I get asked the big question.   “What do you want for your birthday?”   You could’ve ask me that question six months ago and I could’ve told you something, but the closer it gets to my birthday, the less likely I am to have an answer.   Why is that?   I don’t know.   It’s been that way for as long as I can remember.   Call me fickle I guess.   So this year I’ve decided the answer will be I want Kettlebells.   Not sure what it is, or if I need it, but I like the way it sounds.

Pondering

When I was a kid I spent a lot of time laying around pondering things.   I was convinced my cat could talk but I just wasn’t able to understand her.   Perhaps she spoke to other cats when I wasn’t around?   I also wondered if there would be animals in heaven.   Yes, I had very strange ideas as a kid.   I even thought rubber stamps were simply re-usable postage.   After all, rubber bands were reusable binders.   My favorite was the bogeyman.   Wasn’t he that guy who came around and put things in your nose when you were sleeping?

You Know You’re Old When

Went to lunch at our favorite place (Red Robin) today to see our favorite waitress (Samantha).   She is such a sweetheart and loves it when we make a special trip to see her now that she’s at a different Red Robin restaurant.

Somehow we got on the subject of high school.   It seems she was born the same year I graduated high school.   Yikes!   Next thing you know I’ll be shopping for eye cream and face serum and all that other stuff one wears to keep looking younger.
