Mama Mia Movie Review

My top secret project is finished so now I can blog again. I enjoyed reading Norm’s posts and I hope you have too. He’ll continue blogging here as I am working on miscellaneous projects that take most of my creative and physical energy.

So what have I been up to other than my top secret project? Well, Monday evening Norm and I were invited to the premiere showing of Mamma Mia the movie. Our friends, Scott and Rhonda, got free passes and invited us to go along. It was fabulous and probably the most fun I’ve ever had at the movies. If you like songs from Abba and enjoy a lighthearted song and dance kind of story, then you will love this movie too. It was so much fun to sing along with the songs I knew, like Dancing Queen and Take a Chance on Me and too many more that I can’t remember right now. Were I able to stand up I would have been dancing right along.

And, who knew Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan could sing and dance? They were great along with so many other great actors. My favorite part was the Greek chorus that sang along on most of the numbers. You’ll understand when you see the movie. Oh, and if you go be sure and stay through the credits!

Norm and I both have been talking about how much fun we had since Monday night. Some things stay with you for a long time, especially if they’re really fun. I have heard of people talking about their Las Vegas vacations like that. Well, we didn’t go to Las Vegas, but it did feel like it after the movie.

And…I really enjoyed Mama Mia! Though I can’t say the same for the stick in the mud (I mean Betsy) that I sat next to!

🙂 But then again, she hates musicals and I love them!

this is one of the few plays i’ve actually seen, which ended up being great… it’s funny to think of ol’ Pierce taking a stab at singing, yeeesh
