We actually had a day under 100° Fahrenheit. We went out for a bite to eat at lunchtime and I noticed the air felt slightly different. The sun felt good and not overbearing like it usually does. The temperature was about 90° and it was wonderful. Right now, a little after 5 p.m., it’s 87° and it feels really good outside. There is sort of a brisk feeling to the air, probably because the humidity is around 49% — but it doesn’t feel muggy at all. For those of you who live in northern climates you probably think I’m crazy for thinking there is a brisk feeling to the air when it’s 87° outside. But trust me, it’s there and it feels wonderful! It won’t be long before I start wearing long sleeves again — that’s when the temperature reaches about 70°. Anything below 70 and I’m cold. I guess I’m really a lizard at heart!
