PC Reality

It occurred to me the other day that I spend a lot of time in front of my computer. The only time I’m not in front of my computer is when I am away from home, eating, sleeping or watching TV. Why do I spend so much time on my computer? It’s not because I’m so in love with my hard drive or fixated on my mouse. It’s because the computer gives me freedom. Sitting in a wheelchair makes it difficult to do just any activity. On the computer can read, create, explore, and play games. If I had a computer when I was a child I probably would’ve watched a lot less TV. Oh, but then I would have never learn to appreciate Perry Mason or the original Star Trek series.

My dream computer would be a small laptop type setup attached to my wheelchair so that I could sit anywhere in my home or outside and surf the net or write these fantastic blog posts. Would anyone like to contribute to my dream computer fund?

A computer is a great companion also for an elderly widow whose kids live far away! You meet a lot of wonderful people and learn a lot, too. I don’t know how I got along all those years without Google!
