Shoes on the Brain

Me: do you think I should go barefoot?
Norm: no, it wouldn’t look right.
Me: why not?   I don’t wear shoes anymore.
Norm: true, but with socks on it looks like you’re wearing shoes.

Just a sample of the mind-boggling conversation that goes on in our house.

It’s officially been over a year now since I gave up shoes.   Believe it or not, there was a time in my life when I adored shoes and loved going shoe shopping.   Those days are long gone.   I saw a Payless shoe store the other day and wanted to go in and just look around, for old times sake.   Even though they don’t carry Manolo Blahniks they still have nice shoes.
