Overheard at the Salon

This past week I was finally able to get my hair cut after pinching pennies all month. Norm can tell you that I don’t spend a lot of money on myself in the way that most women do (clothing, shoes, jewelry, makeup etc.), but I do care about getting my hair done right. Oh, and getting a manicure every couple of weeks helps too.

Anyhow, I’m having the typical conversation with my hair stylist — how have you been, what’s new in your life… somehow we got on the topic of careers. Most of her clients are professionals. It seems that in Scottsdale you’re either a consultant or a real estate agent. From my experience I would also add to that list high-tech professional. It seems like everybody works in some sort of computer field. If you’re not a programmer you sell them. Such is life around here.
