Frigid Air

Last week the husband and I out for the evening to a prayer meeting at church. We were there for probably an hour and a half and when we came outside to go home I was hit with a blast of frigid air. Talk about Arctic wind! It was unbelievably cold and it felt very damp even though there was no rain. I couldn’t get to my vehicle fast enough.

I was wrapped up in a warm coat, but it was not enough protection from the cold. I’ve never been someone who enjoys wearing heavy clothing and fortunately I haven’t lived anywhere I needed to dress that way on a regular basis. You’ll never see me wearing a turtleneck sweater for instance, because I just can’t stand feeling anything up high around my neck. However, if we’re going to continue to get Arctic weather in Scottsdale then I may have to consider wearing a mock turtleneck. At least I would be a whole lot warmer!

I’m sitting here at the paper, reading your blog during a break. I am wearing:

    flannel-lined blue jeans
    an addidas thermal shirt
a pretty pink print long sleeved shirt
    tiny-waffle thermal shirt over that
    fisherman knit cardigan over that

    It’s cold even inside around here: 64 F !

And you can still move? I would feel so weighed down by all the layers. It was 64 out today while we did errands. Not bad in the sun. But not good for indoors.

Sounds like you work in a cooler instead of a sweat-shop.
