A Knock at the Door

A few weeks ago I was quietly minding my own business in my home when someone knocked on our door.   Norm opened the door to see who was there.   He doesn’t like me to open the door by myself because it could be a stranger.   In this case it was a stranger.   The young man greeted us kindly and then proceeded to go into his sales pitch for home security systems.   Apparently one of our neighbors had signed up and they were offering the rest of us neighbors a special deal just because.   He then proceeded to ask if we had a home security system?   My first thought was not to answer the question and I told him so.   It is certainly not something I would discuss with a stranger.   Our conversation ended quickly when I let him know that I wasn’t interested in purchasing anything.   I’m a tough sell, especially when I don’t have money.
