Dial a Roller Coaster

My recent adventure on Dial a Ride the other day reminded me of an amusement park ride. I’ve only been to a few amusement parks in my life such as Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Silver Dollar City and Knots Berry Farm. The one I liked the best was Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri. Have you ever been to Branson? They have everything there and when I was between the ages of 8 and 17 I must’ve gone there 2 dozen times because I had family living in the Springfield area.

Anyhow, the ride on the Dial a Ride bus reminded me of Silver Dollar City because they had some kind of a ride there that goes underground through an old mine shaft. Being only nine years old at the time, it was scary, but nonetheless fun. It was dark and you couldn’t see where you were going most of the time. That’s how I felt on Dial a Ride because I couldn’t see out the front so I had no idea where I was going except for what I could see on my left or right. A rather strange feeling indeed.

I tried to use Dial a Ride today but they were already booked for the afternoon. Hopefully we get the van back tomorrow afternoon! We’re supposed to have dinner out tomorrow night with two other couples, one of whom we haven’t seen since January. It should be fun!
