The Fairness Doctrine

Let’s keep the government from regulating political free speech on the airwaves, on the Internet, and in print!   The Founding Fathers knew it was important so they put it as an amendment to the Bill of Rights of the Constitution of the United States.

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

It seems to me that any attempt to control political free speech through government regulation of any kind is a violation of the First Amendment!
