The Break Is Over

Got home yesterday and I’m still recovering from the six-hour drive. We went to San Diego to visit my family. We always go to San Diego because we can stay there for free — thanks Mom and Dad! Would you believe I never made it to the beach? I’m not much of a beach person. I did spend some nice time visiting my beautiful nieces.
Can’t say that I really did anything exciting on this trip. Norm has a different story to tell — only if he wants to.

The weather was pretty nice — in the upper 80s and down to the 60s and 50s at night.   It’s still quite warm here and yesterday it was quite odd to leave San Diego in the morning with a balmy temperature of 64 ° F and to arrive in Yuma 2 1/2 hours later and get out of the car in 100 °F heat.   Quite a shock to the system.

We are supposed to get cooler temperatures next week which probably means we’ll be in the 90s. When the temperatures start to stay in the 90s you know autumn is on the way. My sunset stroll through the neighborhood gave me a clear indication we are in a change of seasons.   The sun is setting further south in the sky.   Funny how those things kind of sneak up on you.
