Great Patio

First of all the weather here in Scottsdale is just right most of the year to spend time out on the patio.   No question there are months, during the Summer that one has a tendency to stay inside where it’s Air Conditioned.

Since Karen and I were married back in January of 1999, she has taught me that having a patio is a great place for us to sit and talk and enjoy the Arizona Weather.

Now our patio is in the back and we have modern outdoor furniture including a table and chairs so that we can invite friends over.

Now that I think about it, there is room out front under our pine tree to do the same. Aren’t we lucky!

Don’t Get Lost Online

I remember as a kid hearing about the Bermuda Triangle and how ships and airplanes would be lost at sea because they tried to pass through it. The other day I got to pondering the Internet and how easy it is to get lost in the sea of websites. Having built a few websites myself I understand the need for search engine optimization and knowing website marketing techniques. When I heard about Triangle Direct I thought what a great name for a business dealing with website marketing. Knowing the right techniques for marketing your website will keep you from being lost at sea, or in this case the Internet.

Something I might Like.

I have always enjoyed playing games on the computer.   It’s usually after I have done all the “work” that I have to do as a retired person living in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Karen has an IPod Touch and she can play games on it when we’re away from the house.

All I have is a cell phone, and I have given the number out to only a few people.   I don’t think it’s such a good idea, since I’m hard of hearing, to have the phone up to my ear while trying to safely drive on the streets of Scottsdale where every other vehicle has a driver with a phone up to their ear.

I suppose, considering my love for games, I should consider wii games for myself for when we arrive at where we’re going. Karen’s brother got one for his kids. Think they will let me play?

Wasn’t until later in Life.

I have found since marrying Karen in 1999 I have spent time working with others behind the scenes at several churches here in Arizona.

With a background in Broadcasting I centered on recording the sermons, both audio and video, but there was one time I got involved in looking into metal buildings as the church expanded from meeting in local school auditoriums to purchasing land and planning to have a building of their own.

While supposedly not my specialty, nor the center of my interests, I found that it was a lot of fun just seeing what was available.

Sometimes It’s Not What You Think It Is

I’ve been thinking about getting a kitten.  It’s been a long time since I’ve had a young cat in the house.  GG, our current cat, is 10 years old and generally doesn’t cause a lot of mischief around our house.  When she was a kitten it was a completely different story.  Thus, I’ve been thinking about how to prep our home so that a young cat won’t get into a lot of trouble.  I was explaining this to a friend the other day and he suggested that surface raceways would be just the thing for our house.  Granted, I run around on six wheels in the house, but I don’t consider it a race way.  He then explained to me that surface raceways are used to protect exposed wires and cables.  Aha.  That’s exactly what I need with all the computer wires and cables around my house.

Ageless Beauty

Today I was at the dentist and as I was entering the waiting area there was this beautiful older woman who was scheduling her next appointment.   I couldn’t help but stare at her because she had the most beautiful skin and hardly a wrinkle.   As she left the dentist office I couldn’t help but wonder if she must use the best anti wrinkle cream one can buy.   Maybe I’ll be lucky and see her at my next appointment so I can find out.
