1. Merry Christmas

   It’s that time of year again when we celebrate God’s gift to the world, his son Jesus.  Emmanuel, God with us, became one of us so that he could ultimately become the sacrifice to save us all.  What a precious gift indeed.  All you have to do to receive this gift is believe in your heart that Jesus is the Christ, the promised Messiah, and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord.  How simple, and yet by doing so you will change your life completely.

   May your Christmas celebration be a time for reflection upon the true meaning of Christmas.

2. Don’t Forget

   Holiday time means travel for a lot of people.  The husband and I are headed out to visit my family in San Diego.  I’m so looking forward to the trip because I haven’t seen San Diego or my loved ones there since last Christmas.  Yesterday was spent getting things ready and this morning has been spent packing things up and loading our vehicle.  It seems like we have so many things we have to bring.  Not only do we pack our clothes, but there a lot of things that we have to bring because of my special needs.  And of course there’s all the electronic equipment and all the chargers that go along with them.  Sometimes I think we’re bringing too much, but then it will seem that I get there and wonder why I didn’t bring the fitness equipment.  Ha ha!  Hopefully I won’t forget anything important.

   Sen. Ben Nelson is a sell out! Kudos to Dr. Becky Hollibaugh of Friend, Nebraska for her frank e-mail on the subject.

   Thank you so much for making me–someone with 8 years of education!–make less than a mechanic or appliance repair technichian. And thanks especially for falling in line with Obama and the rest of the Democrats to make such a socialist system permanent.

   You have my disgust and disdain forever, you socialist-coddling coward.

7. Bono Vox

   I’m sure I’ve mentioned it on my blog before, but my wonderful husband, Norm, and I met through the Internet.  Chat rooms, e-mail and eventually phone calls were our only means of communication for seven months until we met in person.  One thing I could tell right away about Norm was that he had a great voice.  As he likes to say, “I give good phone.”  We would talk on the phone a lot and every week we had a certain phone date scheduled.  I think that Norm could have done well with a phone job like calling for life insurance leads.  It’s that good of a voice to where you would enjoy talking with him and sign up for whatever he was selling.  I guess I did, didn’t I?

8. The Pain, The Pain

   Last week was a miserable week and I’m glad I survived it.  It started out on Monday with a lot of pain on the left side of my face, and then it moved to the right side of my face.  It was nerve pain and would move from one part of my jaw to another part.  From my ear to my bottom teeth and then to my top teeth and then to my cheekbone.  It was random and quite annoying.  Several visits to the chiropractor gave me moderate help.
