Wind Whipped
Today was our church picnic and it was a beautiful, cool afternoon except for the 20 mile an hour wind gusts. We had a blast eating hot dogs, hamburgers and an assortment of side dishes. It was fun getting to know new people. Our church is combining with another church and this was our first social event. After we consumed enormous amounts of food there was a coed softball game. I enjoyed watching everyone play. I don’t even mind the little bits of sand that got blown in my mouth. Not sure who won the softball game as I had to leave after an hour because I felt as if I had been sandblasted!
This is a great time here for outdoor activities, except when it’s windy. The evenings are cooler and people enjoy being outdoors. It’s the kind of weather that makes you want to improve your landscape lighting so you can enjoy looking at your plants while you sit out on the patio. Maybe someday we’ll have some. 🙂
So where are the pictures?
And the softball game — you don’t even know who won??
Being somewhat of a softball buff myself, I trust that everyone survived the game intact and there wasn’t a need for a sunday evening healing service!!
