Pampering the Princess

Norm has always referred to me as “the Princess” or “my Princess” in a very sweet and loving way.   A lot of people notice the way he takes care of me by helping me with little things I cannot do for myself.   The other day he was helping me put on my sunglasses and a lady noticed and commented that he pampers me.   She ought to see what else he helps me do…

Today I got extra special pampering with a pedicure this morning at Applause Hair Salon by my favorite nail technician Kim.   When Norm picked me up we went to lunch at Coco’s.   Normally I don’t indulge myself with dessert when we go out, but I noticed they had caramel peaches and cream pie and that sounded so good.   We decided to share a slice and Norm told me I could have as much as I wanted before he would eat any of it.   He’s so sweet!   Whenever we share a dessert I usually eat about a third because I have a smaller appetite.   Not so today — I think Norm was lucky to get one fourth of the slice of pie!   It was scrumptious and I made all those little noises one makes when eating something that tastes so good.   Yummy!

I definitely feel like a princess today.

The caramel peaches do sound yummily fit for a princess!
I bought some late season peaches that looked beautiful, but strangely, smelled of sawdust. Optimistically, I baked them in a pie and it came out tasting of…..well…sawdust. I need to go out and find some peachy peaches!
